This song is ME. If you don’t know me, you will feel like you will after you listen to this song.
I had the honour of sitting down and writing with Larry Mccoy, in Nashville and I told him I wanted to write about me and the original, true country. The kind of country music, that got me hooked, from George Jones, to Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Don Williams.
I love everything about this song, from lyrics, to the magic put in to the music. I hope you all enjoy as much as I do and understand who I am after you do.

LYRICS
Daddy spent more time out in the shed
With a beer in his hand when I was a kid
Listening to country music
On the radio
I’d sit right there underneath his feet
Find the groove and feel the beat
I’d learn the words
So I could sing along
It was “Walk the Line”
“The Race is On”
“Rainy Day Woman”
“That’s the Way Love Goes”
I find peace of mind
When a steel guitar starts to wind
Crank it up all the way to 10
Push rewind man play it again
Drink a little drink smoke a little smoke
Long-haired country boy takin’ a toke
As solid as the ground I’m standing on
As long as I’m alive it’ll never be gone
Now that I’m grown I’m a music man
I love the way this Gibson feels in my hands
I got a shed in the back
Some kids of my own
A couple nights a week me and the band
Do a little three chord five piece jam
A bottle of Jack bringin’ country back
Come on, Come on, Come on, Come on
I find peace of mind
When a steel guitar starts to wind
Crank it up all the way to 10
Push rewind man play it again
Drink a little drink smoke a little smoke
Long-haired country boy takin’ a toke
As solid as the ground I’m standing on
As long as I’m alive it’ll never be gone
So when you see me up here on this stage
I want you to know how I was raised
I find peace of mind
When a steel guitar starts to wind
Crank it up all the way to 10
Push rewind man play it again
Drink a little drink smoke a little smoke
Long-haired country boy takin’ a toke
As solid as the ground I’m standing on
As long as I’m alive it’ll never be gone
